All new clients will be required to have a daycare feasibility evaluation conducted.
Why are evaluation’s required?
To ensure the safety of all of our daycare clients and staff, we require that all new dog clients are evaluated by our staff members. We are here to make sure all dogs at Waghouse socialize safely and happily. We evaluate your dogs interactions with other dogs, staff members, and measure their overall level of happiness in this new and sometimes overwhelming environment when meeting so many new friends at once. Our goal is to make sure that our dog customers all enjoy a playful, social and safe environment at their “home away from home.” We will explain our observations on their first day as well as following days should new behaviors arise, which will in turn let you know if your dog is a good fit for our dog daycare.
What do you need for an evaluation?
Please fill out our new client form to start the registration process. This will involve signing our digital agreement and answering a few questions about your dog. You will need to take a picture of or upload veterinary records showing that your dog has been to the vet and is up-to-date on their Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccinations which are required before any dog can attend daycare. If it is easier, we can also request these from the veterinary practice you list within your customer portal for you!
You can schedule your dogs first day by clicking on the NEW CLIENT REGISTRATION tab of our website. Evaluations are typically just a normal day of daycare for most dogs, can be performed daily (although space is limited but we will let you know), and we do not have a time requirement for them to be with us. We do like your dog to be here at least 3 hours or more so we can get an understanding of their behaviors and feelings of daycare with us; as well as allow your dog time to understand the fun that Waghouse is all about! If they are a very young puppy, sometimes a shorter day may be best as well for their proper rest time and getting to know the schedule here but we can accommodate whatever you need for your schedule and care for them.
Drop off is between 7am-10am and pick up is any time before 6pm.
Evaluations are $25 non-refundable but regardless of the outcome, your dog will be cared for all day as needed.
**YOU MUST RECEIVE CONFIRMATION FROM US THROUGH EMAIL AFTER YOUR REQUEST BEFORE YOUR RESERVATION IS OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED*** Confirmations will be received within 24 hours unless we reach out separately to you describing the reason we were unable to confirm your request within that time period.
Requirements:
In overall good health with no notable sneezing, coughing, open wounds, stitches.
All female dogs older than 8 months must be spayed unless otherwise discussed.
All male dogs older than 12 months old must be neutered unless otherwise discussed.
Current on ALL listed Vaccinations including:
Distemper - Parvovirus combination vaccine.
Bordetella
Rabies
A negative Fecal Exam within 12 months prior to attending.
Flea & Tick Free and under a continuous prevention plan.
People and dog-friendly.
Must pass our new member daycare evaluation - $25 non-refundable first day of daycare.
Must be leashed at all times with appropriately affixed breakaway collar at drop off and pick up.
